THE COTTAGE
Configuration
Daphne Cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (second bed either double or twin) has superfast wi-fi, smart TVs, luxury bathroom fittings including a walk in rain shower and all mod cons in the kitchen. In the bedrooms, there are wonderfully soft Egyptian cotton sheets and fluffy towels which are included in your stay.
Outside
Off street parking for 2 cars at the front and a secluded and totally enclosed garden at the back. There is a large terrace with garden furniture, barbecue and parasol, with the rest of the garden either lawn or gravel. The garden is enclosed and secure for children to wander about in.

Mysterious, romantic, utterly beautiful and immortalised by Daphne du Maurier’s iconic book, Frenchman’s Creek, some parts of the river have remained unchanged for centuries. Lose yourself to the beauty and tranquility of the creeks and inlets before enjoying delicious locally sourced food at one of the renowned riverside venues.
The South West Coast Path
If walking is your passion, the cottage is 1 mile from the Falmouth to Lizard stretch of this true treasure of Cornwall - 630 miles of breathtaking scenery taking you through woodlands, alongside cliffs and down onto often deserted beaches.
BOOKING INFO
Direct Bookings
All bookings are direct with the owner ensuring you get a commission free price and a tailored service. Bookings are made and managed via this website and powered by Bookalet. Payments are taken through Paypal or bank transfer.
High Season
From March to October bookings are on a week-long basis with changeover day on Fridays.
Off Season
From November to February, the cottage is available for week long lets and short breaks (3 night minimum stay).
Check in is from 4pm, check out by 10am.
LOCATION
Daphne Cottage is in the South West Cornish village of Mawnan Smith, 1.5 miles from the Helford River, 5 miles from Falmouth and 13 miles from Truro.
Access to The Lizard is possible via a ferry across from Helford Passage to Helford from Easter - October. Ferries from Falmouth to St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula run all year round.
